Investment Strategy

As part of our commitment to funding and supporting diverse managers as part of our broad alternative investment activity, the Advance Strategy was established in 2019 to focus on investing with high quality, hard-to-access, and often overlooked private equity investment opportunities led by diverse managers with proven track records.

The Advance Strategy offers:

+ Flexibility to invest through primary funds, co-investments, and secondaries with both established and emerging diverse managers1

+ Due to our resources, experience, and long-standing relationships with managers, the Advance Strategy seeks to offer the opportunity to invest at a lower cost than is typical for an investment in a single primary fund

+ Unique strategy in the marketplace that provides access to world-class investments sponsored by women and minority investment firms

+ The Advance Strategy leverages GCM Grosvenor’s existing investment activity with diverse private equity managers, where the firm has committed approximately $5 billion to more than 140 investments
