WITS - Working in the Schools

Elementary school students from Chicago’s Cook Elementary School are matched with GCM Grosvenor employees through the WITS Mentoring Program. Our employees work with the students on reading comprehension and fluency, writing skills, and assist them with completing their homework. We’ve been working with the students at Cook through WITS for 10+ years.

For the past 15+ years we’ve worked alongside Chicago Cares with the goal of helping to build a more vibrant and equitable Auburn Gresham community. Through volunteerism, we frequently engage with community members, students, and youth and assist with projects focused on building a sense of community and beautifying the neighborhood.

After School Matters

Through stipend-earning programs, After School Matters provides teens the opportunity to explore their passions and develop their talents. GCM Grosvenor provides high school students enrolled in the programs with workplace readiness trainings such as resume building workshops, interview prep sessions, elevator pitch trainings, and more.

OneGoal New York

Through their classroom-based model, OneGoal New York works with high schools, districts, and states to provide high quality college and career planning services to students in low-income communities. By working together to review college essays and host career panels, we are helping them achieve their goal of increasing the percentage of students from low income communities who earn a postsecondary education.
