We are proud to announce that we have achieved a CarbonNeutral® company certification from Climate Impact Partners in accordance with The CarbonNeutral Protocol.  In 2023, we reduced and offset our Scope 1, Scope 2, and selected Scope 3 emissions1, including business travel and purchased goods and services.Â
Process Overview
We engaged a third party advisory firm to conduct a comprehensive measurement of our firm-wide GHG emissions covering Scope 1, 2 and 3, using both location and market based methods. We then identified a series of carbon reduction initiatives across our global offices, including leveraging energy efficient utilities and improving global recycling practices. To offset the unreducible portion of the firm’s footprint, we provided financing to a portfolio of three sustainable development projects across multiple countries, all of which are verified to ICROA-approved standards.
Sustainable Projects
Choapa Wind
Power
Chile
The project generates renewable electricity for the Central Interconnected Electricity System. In this process there is no consumption of any fossil fuel and hence it does not lead to any greenhouse gas emissions. Thus, electricity is generated through sustainable means without causing any negative impact on the environment.
Mississippi Valley
Reforestation
United States
The project aims to reforest 1 million acres of the Lower Mississippi Alluvial Valley, an area which was once covered by 22 million acres of dense forest. The project creates revenue for participants, brings jobs to the area, and enhances local water quality and bio diversity.
Three Rivers
Grassland Restoration
China
The project removes carbon from the atmosphere by restoring the plateau’s degraded grasslands. Located in the central Chinese province of Qinghai, this project is restoring over 160,000 hectares of degraded grasslands by seeding three species of native grass.

ABOUT
CARBONNEUTRAL®
CERTIFICATION
CarbonNeutral® certification was created and is managed by Climate Impact Partners. It was the first clear set of guidelines for businesses to achieve carbon neutrality back in 2002, and every year since then Climate Impact Partners has continued its commitment to providing a robust framework for clear, transparent and high-quality carbon neutral action. The CarbonNeutral Protocol is a publicly available document that sets out the requirements for companies to achieve CarbonNeutral® certification. It is updated annually with input from an Advisory Council of external experts to ensure it reflects the latest industry and scientific best practice.
